The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Research Coordinator for a series of studies focused on the generation of new knowledge regarding and interventions to improve contraceptive care, particularly for women with medical conditions. This individual will assist the PI in overall project management, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, mixed methods analysis, dissemination of publications, and the development and writing of new grant applications. This position is ideal for candidates who seek to advance and expand upon their existing research skill and contribute to improving reproductive health outcomes through high quality family planning research.
Develop and execute research study plans and day to day work plans
Ensure that study protocols and study activities meet all institutional and funder requirements, develop and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance
Assist with progress reports and communications with external stakeholders, funders, and regulatory bodies
Serve as the primary liaison with our primary care research network, work with the research network to recruit and maintain clinical sites, and maintain communications with designated representatives of research clinical sites
Assist the PI in quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis
Coordinate data collection efforts and records management
Assist the PI in any grant-, research-, and academic-related activities that arise
Assist the PI in manuscript and grant development and submission
Supervise and mentor students and trainees under the guidance of the PI
Impeccable organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with team members
Ability to independently and creatively address problems and seek resources/help as necessary
A nonjudgmental and respectful attitude regarding reproductive health issues, including abortion
A professional demeanor, dependability, and ability to work well under pressure.
Ability and desire to “drive the ship”, that is, anticipate upcoming deadlines and tasks and prepare accordingly
Possess initiative and willingness to learn new tasks.
Must have reliable transportation for clinical site visits
Experience with manuscript and grant writing and a desire to advance these skills
