We're looking for someone like you to:
Support the Americas C&ORC team with closing actions and items related to regulatory findings
Track issues and actions in SORT and ensure updates are entered timely
Support the drafting of Issue and Action Plan closure packs, ensuring remediation efforts are adequate and sustainable in keeping with the Operational Risk Framework and GIA assurance
Prepare regular and ad hoc risk reports
Support the control environment thru effective KPC/KPCis and maintain accurate records in SORT
Support the semi-annual design and operating effectiveness assessments of function Key Procedural Control Instances (KPCis), works with team leads to ensure appropriate scope and coverage exists for their respective areas of responsibility
Prepare ORI and MLSI reporting to the regions senior committees (ie: IHC, CUSO, AOC, ARC, etc)
Provide business analysis in furtherance of C&ORC projects
Complete UBS's annual BSA/AML/OFAC training
Your team Compliance & Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) is part of the Group Risk Control function. Risk management and control are integral parts of UBS' commitment to providing consistent, high quality returns to our shareholders. Our risk control approach seeks to limit the scope for adverse variations in earnings and in particular to protect UBS from the risk of severe loss, resulting from unlikely but plausible events arising from any of the material risks we face.
C&ORC aims to ensure that all compliance, conduct and operational risks are understood, owned and managed to the firm's risk appetite. C&ORC is responsible for providing independent oversight and control over the consequential risks arising from UBS's business activities at a global, regional, divisional and entity level. The team is a supports a culture of accountability and excellence in operational risk management. In addition, the team proactively sets up processes to ensure that key information needs are sustainably and efficiently produced This includes operational risk losses that UBS would suffer from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems, or from external events.
Your expertise You have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate complex issues timely and clearly
Experience in project management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (including Excel macros and lookups)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and think critically and act quickly under pressure
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to balance a diverse work-load with multiple deadlines
Analytical and enjoy problem-solving
Flexible and capable of prioritizing based on business demands
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
