Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Wealth Risk Manager ASP .
Drive the ASP wealth product governance process. Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure all Wealth products are risk assessed, approved and strictly adhered to the agreed processes and timeline.
Drive the development of Key Risk Indicator reports to highlight key wealth risk information and trends to senior management in a timely manner.
Drive the development of digital product governance tools by using Jira and Confluence.
Support the evolving risk management capabilities to fully embrace Wealth Digital innovation initiatives, and investment based financing or wealth lending.
Support Regional Head of Wealth Risk in delivering Wealth Risk thematic, proactive risk management deep dives reviews.
Support the effective usage of the Wealth Risk Governance and Controls, which is essential to support the Asia Wealth strategy to grow the wealth management business and to ensure the generation of sustainable profitability.
Support the implementation of regional risk mitigation activity identified through the Wealth Risk Governance and Controls, e.g. through WMOC and ensuring existing risk controls are effective.
Support Regional Head of Wealth Risk in the oversight of current risk issues within the wealth management business, identify and mitigate top and emerging risks and provide senior management with timely updates on risk issues.
Adopt and implement common, Group processes, aimed at adopting group best practice in the region.
Exercise latitude for determining wealth risk strategy and priorities. Accountable for decision making under often ambiguous circumstances.
Ensure that procedures comply with relevant regulatory requirements and are well supported by local policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the Wealth Risk Governance and Controls and other group standards.
To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
University degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
Significant years of relevant experience in wealth management such as front office, support and control roles
Track record of working in relevant markets,contexts would be an added advantage
Sound knowledge in wealth management products
A team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage high level stakeholders University degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
