The University of Virginia seeks a team leader with a strategic perspective to serve as the Senior Project Manager. Reporting to the Senior Director for Finance Strategic Projects, the individual will coordinate the portfolio of, and lead the implementation of, strategic projects within the UVAFinance organization.
Collectively, UVAFinance is responsible for treasury, accounting and financial reporting, procurement/ accounts payable, financial planning and analysis, student financial services, and finance outreach and compliance.
The UVAFinance team adopted a vision to become the valued and trusted financial partner that the University community turns to first. The Senior Project Manager is integral to achieving this vision; she/he will formally and informally lead teams that work across UVAFinance functional areas, stakeholders, technical experts, and/or consultants to implement process redesigns and system implementations that support the UVAFinance mission and vision. The Senior Project Manager will be a champion for continuous improvement and collaboration, communicating and negotiating across organizational lines to successfully resource, budget, schedule, and scope the project.
