As part of our Fund Solutions Change Management team, your role as Portfolio Manager is to be responsible for monitoring and managing the assigned portfolio.
With leadership from the company and the Head of Change Management, you will identify, select and prioritise projects that support corporate business strategy, whilst overseeing all elements of strategic project management.
You will manage project managers in Leeds and London who are designated to work on projects through all phases of the project life cycle, providing them with direction, leadership and motivation.
Ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, impacts, and changes associated with management of the portfolio.
Participating in program and project reviews to reflect senior level support, leadership, and involvement in important matters.
Negotiating stakeholder issues and resolving problems at the organisational level
Helping other organisation executives appreciate the value of the program and ensuring the work is aligned with the evolving organisational objectives
Anticipates program delays and adjusts resources to stay on course
Facilitates and evaluates project reviews during Steering and Portfolio working group meetings.
Defines and enforces criteria for necessary Change Requests.
Facilitates the resolution of issues and conflicts that may arise during the project life cycle.
Reviews project plans and validates against all other plans to proactively identify potential conflicts.
Publishes key portfolio-level documentation and reporting on an on-going basis.
Facilitates risk assessment meetings and articulates outstanding issues or project status
Prince II qualification
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels
Pro-active, flexible with a can-do attitude.
Ability to challenge
Attention to detail, in checking and challenging information provided
People role model
Ability to motivate teams
Understand and have practical experience of running Projects or supporting Programme
Ability to influence those who are not direct reports
Demonstrable ability to work in a pressurised and challenging environment

Experience of working in business and IT environments in Financial Services
