SUMMARY We are currently working with a contract precision machining company to identify a Manufacturing Engineer. This is an addition to their current staff as a result of growth. They ideally seek to hire someone who is junior in their career and can benefit from being mentored by a group of established engineers and work their way up in the company.

This is a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking and problem solving. POSITION Reporting to an Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will:
• Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. • Analyzes and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. • Assure that all activities and duties are executed consistent with Company policies and procedures, IATF 16949:2016 standards and the Vantage Manufacturing System.
BASE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering preferred. • Recent grads with no work experience are encouraged to apply, as are those with 1+ years of applicable project engineer/hands on experience working in a manufacturing environment. • Experience in a machining environment a plus. • Machining experience with Hydromat and / or Index machines a plus. • CNC programming education or experience preferred. • 3D modeling education or experience preferred. • Aptitude for problem solving and project management skills. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
