This position will be primarily responsible for front-end web content layout and basic design work, including fulfilling website update requests and assisting with interface design. The Web Designer/User Experience & User Interface Designer will bring strong creative, technical, and problem-solving skills to translate concepts into interaction and design solutions. This position will work with members of the Annenberg School’s Office of Communications and IT team to provide design recommendations, layout drafts and final, web pages and other application interfaces. This is a two-year term position, with the possibility of renewal.
Under the creative direction of the Director of Communications, this position will:
* Create user-centered designs for websites; design visual layouts; generate graphics; build templates according to design guidelines and usability standards. * Create innovative approaches to improving the end-user experience. Assure web accessibility for people with disabilities. * Assist in designing interface elements of applications and features. * Perform various graphic design tasks such as digital asset optimization. * Work collaboratively with clients and programmers to build, maintain, and update CMS websites using HTML/CSS. * Participate in determining requirements for new websites and applications.
