The Product Development team formspart of J.P. Morgan Asset Management business. The team is responsiblefor the development and management of J.P. Morgan funds to enhance marketposition. In addition, the team coordinates and manages different business/productrelated projects primarily in Asia.
Currently we can seeking anexperienced professional to join and work with our team in Hong Kong, report toHead of Product Development, Asia Pacific and partner with our Investors,Client Advisors, Product Strategy team, as well as the Europe ProductDevelopment Group on efforts that impact our onshore and offshore productrange.
Key responsibilities include:
Governance and Initiatives
SME within the Product Development Team related to any product governance initiatives
Work with local Product Development team to ensure global/regional best practices and have the robust product governance process and structure in place
Communicate recommendations and product regulatory program status to impacted stakeholders
Clearly articulate program goals to stakeholders and collaborators
Develop program charters, business cases, project plans, team structures, and governance models
Manage multiple product-related projects simultaneously across a broad range of functions, businesses and organizational units
Liaise with Product Development and Product Strategy teams in the Americas and EMEA on global product development initiatives
Drafting local offering documents for Hong Kong Unit Trusts, Luxembourg SICAVs and MRF funds, liaising with internal parties, external legal counsel and regulatory authorities, in respect of new fund registrations and product management matters.
Depending on the projects, the role may have exposure to the China-related initiatives
Developing a strong and effective partnership with the local business and sales team, with an aim for understanding market needs and meeting commercial objectives in a timely manner.
Driving and managing local product development initiatives, liaising with key stakeholders, both local and regional internal parties, and external legal counsel.
Adopting regional "best practices" and adhering to applicable governance processes for all product development initiatives.
Operating as a subject matter expert on new products, changes to existing products or newly introduced product features, to support local and regional sales and marketing efforts.
Keeping abreast of local regulatory and industry developments and upcoming changes to global product ranges that may impact the local fund range.
Supporting/assisting the regional Product Development team in identifying product gaps and opportunities, capitalizing on market and regulatory developments and trends and reviewing the commercial viability of the local product range.
Preparing for and presenting new product initiatives at local and regional product committees and, if required, also at global committees.
Analysis & Problem Solving
Conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues
Creating and applying appropriate conceptual frameworks to push thinking and expand solution sets
Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to the Product Development Group
We are looking for candidates who are able todemonstrate history in effectively managing complex projects and drivingchange, ideally in financial services.
Key qualifications include:
7-10 years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of business and management functions in Asset Management and/or related financial services industries
Experience with implementation of project management processes and methodologies in a large organization
Experience managing and working with geographically distributed and functionally diverse workgroups
Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in dialogue with senior management
Proven collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills
Ability to network with internal stakeholder community to foster positive and proactive collaboration
Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
Language Competencies - Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
