The Chase Home Lending Innovation team provides strategic vision, product development, and process innovation enhancements with the goal of building a transformational experience for Chase Home Lending customers. The Home Lending Innovation team spearheads efforts to create compelling mortgage products and programs that appeal to both customers and investors in resulting mortgage-backed securities.
The Innovation team acts in a similar manner to an internal consulting group, addressing topics at the top of senior management agendas and at the forefront of the mortgage banking industry. Projects include developing innovative product and service offerings to improve the customer experience and grow the business, identifying fintech partnership opportunities to enhance the digital experience and improve our operational efficiency, and creating a customer engagement strategy tailored to provide a best-in-class experience.

We are currently seeking a Vice President or Executive Director of Innovation to bring a high level of intellectual excellence, vision, and fact-based analysis as a foundation of our mortgage business transformation. He or she will provide functional expertise and knowledge to the team while playing a significant role in producing extraordinary and measurable results for our Home Lending line of business. Whether in new product design, technology, or process improvements, he or she will impact a wide variety of functions while they provide targeted capability building that will drive our strategy driven transformation. The Vice President or Executive Director will:
Lead projects from strategy development though execution, direct all program planning and management, issue identification and resolution, risk management, analytical design and deliverable definition to provide targeted capability building
Leverage business intelligence, internal consultation, customer feedback, and market analytics to develop innovative, even disruptive, new products and services that place Chase at the forefront of the mortgage banking industry
Ability to structure and executed research to analyze how well current or potential products meet our customers' needs
Combine strategic vision and tactical expertise coupled with analytical problem solving skills that translate into practical solutions for the business
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and systems to strengthen competiveness and profitability
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and address challenges promptly and with precision while ensuring that teams are empowered to execute and deliver to established expectation
Demonstrate leadership that actively contributes to attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining a diverse, high-performance team

Develop credibility-based relationships with internal stakeholders and play a significant role in influencing senior-level thinking that supports moving the business units to action
Accept complex and ambiguous situations, overcome obstacles, and deliver outcomes
6 to 8 years of experience at a premier management consulting firm or internal consulting / corporate strategy team, or similar role that developed skill sets in key areas (e.g., strategic analytics, capital markets, equity research)
At least 1-3 years of experience motivating and leading teams
Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions
Excellent end-to-end problem solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analysis
Experience in leading initiatives that identify customer pain points or experience enhancement opportunities and implementing measures to positively impact customer experience
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and listening skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently and to work well in cross-functional teams
Track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
Strong change management skills
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Management consulting or internal strategy experience within the consumer Financial services, and/or mortgage banking industry preferred
