The responsibilities of this position are to provide application analysis/implementation, scripting, technical support and project management services to the Vancouver campus and IT department.
This position will be involved in finding, implementing and supporting new solutions to standardize and modernize the IT infrastructure and computing environment.
The person in this role also provides 2nd and 3rd level technical support as needed, to faculty, staff and students and is responsible for training others in performing field work related to their area of responsibility.
The position has a shared impact on final results and has directed freedom to act as required to maintain expected service levels.
Four years of information technology experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Four (4) years of demonstrated knowledge of computer based troubleshooting utility functions; hardware/software compatibility requirements.
Experience identifying opportunities for use of technology solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Experience providing customer or technical support and the ability to carry out project tasks.
Knowledge and experience of Windows operating systems including server and client.
College degree in computer science, management information systems or other related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience providing technical customer service to a diverse customer base, preferably in an education setting.
Experience coordinating/managing projects.
Experience maintaining and creating scripts.
