The Coordinator of Academic Scheduling, Planning, and Support is responsible for creating the academic schedules that ensure that the Executive MBA (EMBA) provides a world-class academic experience. Working closely with faculty and members of Kellogg administration, this position will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the EMBA academic schedule for both the Evanston and Miami campuses. The Coordinator works closely with the EMBA Associate Director of Academic Affairs, the Academic Advisor, and campus Directors of EMBA to develop the academic calendar and to strategize course offering.

Schedule all first-year Executive MBA (EMBA) courses, collaborating with Academic Director, Campus Directors, Director of Registration, and Student Records Systems.
Develop the multiyear academic schedule for both the Evanston and Miami campuses.
Collaborate with Associate Director of Academic Affairs, Academic Director, and campus Directors on optimizing the academic and learning experience.
Collaborate with EMBA operations team to execute on scheduling.
Partner with global program partners to resolve scheduling conflicts.
Liaise with the Career Management Center (CMC) to schedule special career management events.
Maintain academic schedule calendar including faculty, course and classroom information.
Communicate with faculty on academic scheduling matters.
Help manage the relationship between EMBA program and teaching faculty in partnership with the Academic Director.
Support the Associate Director of Academic Affairs in the design and oversight of the faculty onboarding process.
Collaborate with Associate Director of Academic Affairs and Academic Director to strategize and optimize the teaching experience.
Serve as the point person along with the Associate director of Academic Affairs in coordinating communication between the faculty and the program.
Implement academic policy.
Implement other academic initiatives as needed.
Share staffing duties for student events.
Other projects as assigned.
Reporting and tools
Partner with KIS and other EMBA staff members to develop new academic scheduling tools.
Complete data entry and calendaring to support academic scheduling.
Develop reports for Academic Advisor to help assess, strategize, and plan course offerings.
Conduct first-run research and updates on peer-group course offerings and academic scheduling offerings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
2-3 years of experience in higher education administration or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Understanding of academic culture and higher education program management.
Strong listening, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to take initiative and work effectively individually and as part of a collaborative team.
Professional demeanor including tact and discretion.
Customer service-oriented approach to the job.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Ability to work with students from a holistic perspective in regards to their student experience.

Willingness and ability to work scheduled evenings and Saturdays and to travel on behalf of the program.
