To provide business management leadership and control support for the EMEA Investments business. The business manager will work as part of the business management team to support the goals of the EMEA Regional Investment Head and the CPB regional COO.
The business manager will lead efforts to implement changes to the Capital Markets operating model to support the private bank growth plans as well as changes to adapt to new local and cross border regulations.
The business manager will work with all business partners: Front Office, Products, Control Functions, Technology and Operations teams to implement and embed solutions that comply with new and existing regulatory requirements.
The business manager will strive to continuously improve processes and systems to ensure the operating platform allows the Private Bank to execute business optimally while operating within a robust control environment.
The role will involve interfacing with key senior stakeholders and internal clients across the organization.

Business Support/Coordination: Provide day-to-day oversight and resolution of Capital Markets Cash Equities and Cross Asset Advisory businesses and client specific issues. Partner with Tradelink tech team to improve user experience, application performance and alignment of business priorities across regions. Will represent the IC and Capital Markets team perspectives as it relates to prioritization of asks, assessment of new features and testing of new capabilities.
Business Procedures: Maintain up-to-date operating and sales processes and procedures. Initiate and implement new procedures relating to new sales and system roll-outs. Responsible for insuring the infrastructure of the business is well-coordinated and smooth. Work closely with technology and finance teams to insure full end to end process works well.
Business Risk and Control: Ensure that the business is in a full alignment with applicable policies guidelines and procedures. Ensure that the investments business is meeting all control and risk guidelines, all business Key Risk Indicators are managed below defined threshold levels. Coordinate multiple risk control assessments including audit checks, self-testing, information security assessment. Coordinate and support Audit and other reviews been conducted across the region.
Interface with Control Functions: Communicate key client specific issues and lead and coordinate efforts with Infrastructure teams to address them.
Change Management: Play key role in change initiatives related to the EMEA Capital Markets business. Understand key implications on the Capital Markets operating model as a result of local and cross border regulatory changes as well as changes to Citi internal policies and procedures. Provide leadership and support in driving change programs impacting the Capital Markets business by working closely with bankers and cross functional product and infrastructure teams.
Special initiatives: Support the RIH, Global / Regional Investments COO and senior management in driving through global/regional business initiatives. Coordinate all required aspects of initiative / project roll-out.
Exposure to all areas of the Private Bank business across EMEA / Global and an opportunity to explore and gain insights into full spectrum of client solutions and investment products within Global Wealth Management.

Knowledge and working experience across Capital Markets products preferred
Experience in business management, operations, and controls oversight
Change Management and Business Process Improvement experience
Demonstrated ability to understand implications of complex regulations on the business operating model
Strong understanding of Front, Middle Office and Operations procedures and processes
Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge of the Private Bank
