Responsibilities: Provide support for e-learning programs – 70%
Under the direction of the e-learning program director, the education associate consults with faculty, supervisors, department heads, and others regarding instructional needs and designs for programs; assists in developing program content and in designing learning and education program evaluations; and, assists in analysis of the effectiveness of instructional designs. The education associate identifies and researches problems related to learning systems; gathers and analyzes data pertaining to needs assessment, evaluation, and impact of programs; and, redesigns and updates instructional materials as needed.
Coordinate development of explanatory materials and other learning aids. Write, edit, and rewrite narrative materials, course announcements and other electronic and written materials related to e-learning programs.
Under the direction of the operations manager, occasionally provides logistics and support for e-learning and other programs offered by the Center, including but not limited to itineraries, transportation, lodging and meal logistics, on-site visit coordination, vendor relations and program planning.
Makes various program arrangements in a thoughtful and thorough fashion, completes assignments with accuracy in a timely manner, deals well with multiple, competing demands, and provides general review and editing of documents.
Program/Service Unit Marketing and Communications — 30%
Under the direction of the CAHFS operations manager and in coordination with the CVM advancement team, manage communications and marketing for CAHFS. Utilize diverse platforms to reach multiple stakeholders including electronic and print media. Implement and uphold standards for Center communications and marketing materials. Stay abreast of University of Minnesota branding standards.
Maintain Center and project websites using Academic Health Center and accessibility standards. Utilize analytics information to improve user experience.
Work with the Center leadership and program teams to collect, synthesize, and disseminate information about Center and program activities. Design and launch email marketing campaigns. Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
Work with CVM Advancement team in increasing CAHFS visibility. Coordinate with collaborating partners on communications for joint activities. Liaison with external partners on joint communication projects, ensuring Center and University activities are presented accurately and positively. Responsible for identification of stories, management of news blog, social media, and quarterly newsletters.
Work in tandem with Operations Manager on development and partnership activities, ensuring a coordinated communications effort.
Along with Operations Manager, assist in the maintenance and data management of FileMaker database. Maintain departmental email accounts. Maintain distribution lists.
Develops and maintains liaisons with other VMC, Collegiate and University staff as needed.
Supports and upholds the value that teamwork is critical to the success of the organization.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of University of Minnesota and Collegiate policies and procedures, and serves as a resource for other staff

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
BA/BS degree and at least 2 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 6 years. Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,), Canvas, Google Suite, and electronic calendaring. Experience with educational programming and working with adult learners. Experience composing and editing communications and correspondence. Familiarity with marketing software including Adobe Photoshop. Experience working independently and as part of a team. Many of CAHFS programs are delivered in Spanish-speaking countries; fluency in Spanish, both written and oral, is required. Excellent interpersonal skills, including a positive attitude and ability to work as a team player. Experience with online meeting software (AdobeConnect, GoToMeeting, WebEx, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications BA/BS degree and at least 2 years related experience to include project management, preferably with educational programs, preferred.
