The SMFA at Tufts is looking for a part-time instructor for the fall 2019 and spring 2020 semesters to teach courses in Video and Digital and Experimental Animation with the possibility of expanding to teach other courses in these areas. These courses are taught through the continuing education department of SMFA and are open to visiting professionals and Tufts students in the BA program.
MFA is preferred candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree and prior higher education classroom teaching experience.
Candidates should have experience in different types of digital and analog animation formats. Ideally, candidates will also have some prior experience with digital-imaging software such as DragonFrame, Adobe Photoshop, proficiency in Premiere, After Effects and sound editing software. Also important are knowledge of various approaches to filming, different kinds of cameras, lenses, and lighting.
