Directs all design and branding efforts for Ohio State Football, including but not limited to print, web, and social media content, as well as internal football programs. Serves the football program in the area of Creative Services producing graphic and marketing communication materials that consistently identify, drive and communicate information about players and the team on a variety of platforms, including but not limited to print, web, and social media. Manages design assistant(s). Determines creative direction, plans, estimates and timetables for design and branding projects; coordinates design process including production of artwork, submitting final layouts and designs for approval, securing of production estimates and keeping projects on schedule; present on field and in locker room on game days. Work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours. Required to work quickly, efficiently, and with adaptability under strict deadlines. Responsible for projects from start to finish. Serves as a liaison for the football program with other areas of the department and the University. Ensures compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as they relate to daily football operations.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite required; Work experience and knowledge of design principles; Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Action Script required. Proven success designing responsive/adaptive design. Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage numerous deadlines effectively required.
Strong communication skills, creativity, and flexibility desired. Experience in other multi-media production platforms (web sites, video) desired; knowledge of professional printing standards and previous experience working with professional printers desired; Knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and the NCAA structure desired. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment is preferred. Experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules and policies required. Experience in a Division I football program required. Candidate must have exceptional organizational, customer service and communication skills.
Target Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually
