Assist dentist chairside utilizing 4-handed technique in patient treatment. Perform, under direct supervision of a dentist, the following: placing and removing rubber dams, placing and removing matrices, placing and contouring amalgam restorations and placing and finishing composite resin restorations. Fabrication of crown and bridge provisionals, sealants, coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, including fluoride varnish. Taking impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts and athletic appliances. Working knowledge of restorative Implant Systems and current product knowledge of restorative materials and uses. Capture and mount digital 2-D and 3-D radiographs, maintain supplies and equipment, set-up and breakdown of operatories. The candidate must be flexible in schedule, assist at multi locations as necessary and possess patient-driven and outstanding customer service skills.
Assist the general & specialty dentist chairside as assigned. Provide accurate instrument management, sterilization processing & inventory control. Act professionally & calmly consistently demonstrating concern & courtesy towards all; take personal responsibility for correcting problems; follos up with individuals to ensure satisfaction with the level of service they have received. Remain calm in stressful situations. Demonstrate pleasant disposition that puts people at ease.
Perform dental procedures on patients utilizing Expanded Function skills. Possess & maintain current Pennsylvania permit for application of these duties including meeting the continuing education requirements & accreditation goals.
