Global Wealth Management provides services that are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities. Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, in particular a continuous focus on seeking ways to improve processes and controls that span front, middle, and back office, while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets. The candidate will work within the Wealth Management Operations Change-the-Bank organization, and have responsibility for managing and supporting programs that support key components of the Wealth Management change agenda. Scope of delivery may include product-specific improvement opportunities such as target operating model development, or cross-product efforts such as broker desktop improvements, client online channel development, Strategic Performance Reporting, and Business Process Management (workflow). Key activities include general project management disciplines such as project delivery, risk/issue identification, financial and resource management, as well as systems development lifecycle activities such as Scoping, Business Analysis, Testing, Data Migration, etc. The ability to foster and develop strong working relationships with business and IT counterparts is a critical success factor in this role. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate engagement of Operations, Technology and Business partner resources and subject matter experts across multiple projects & geographic regions
- Manage issues and decisions to timely resolution. Communicate with senior management teams to escalate/resolve project conflicts & needs
- Manage a cohesive plan for selected workstreams, ensuring a coordinated approach when utilizing client service individuals for input, testing, etc. -Monitor day-to-day activities of the project team and ensure work is progressing as planned. Work with project team and actively be involved in the work -Manage schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon -Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals
-Monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance -Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback -Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients, team members and senior Gin Lane management on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels -Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements -Partner with Department Head to present work and participate in new business proposal and scoping processes when asked - Define and drive the implementation of Global Standards and Best Practice
Qualifications & skills required: - Knowledge: of Wealth Management products and services - Leadership skills: The candidate must have at least 5 years experience in a leadership role on projects and supporting overall project timelines. - Problem solving skills: The candidate must have the ability to identify complex risks early and coordinate execution of action plans. - Analytical skills: The candidate must be highly analytical with experience in using objective data to drive strategic recommendations - Communications skills: The candidate must be able to understand and concisely explain complex issues. The candidate must also possess strong written and oral communications skills, and convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly. - Client management and teamwork skills: The candidate must have demonstrated ability in being flexible and working with stakeholders and colleagues at all experience levels. - Project management skills: The candidate must have the ability to create practical and comprehensive implementation plans and partner with all levels of management and stakeholders to gain consensus. Experience of managing multiple projects or engagements and their associated budgets is essential. - Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience - Experience in the wealth management is desirable.
