The Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Global Digital Eco System Team is newly set up with the goal of creating a value added digital experience for our clients. We will harness the full power of our people, data, and local resources to maximize customer value in support of our strategic priorities. Our global team will be responsible for driving initiatives which will add incremental value for our clients through creating a digital eco system with Citi's digital assets and external partners. We are focused on delivering sustained, long-term business benefit to CCB by accelerating our progress towards being an industry-leading digital commercial bank.
The head for partnerships will work closely with the Head of CCB Global Digital Eco System to deliver the vision for a truly remarkable Commercial eco system. The successful candidate for this high impact role requires expertise in negotiation, relationship management (internally and externally) and strong leadership skills, as well as having astute financial acumen and an exceptional understanding of the commercial banking landscape, payments and FX, financial services industry trends and digital commerce. The individual will provide leadership and expertise on informing, solving and driving the execution of the most critical strategic partnerships and negotiations for Global CCB.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in evaluating the internal and external business environment, in partnership with the business leaders, to develop a long term overall vision and strategy for the organization on establishing and managing ecosystem partnerships
Proactively partner with the CCB regions to identify and implement strategic and tactical initiatives that provide Citi with a sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace- includes identifying potential partners, define partnership construct and negotiate and execute agreements
Establish best practices and build a playbook on methodologies for sourcing, evaluating, winning and closing new partner programs and retaining existing relationships across CCB
Evaluate potential transactions and business cases from a strategic, operational and financial perspective. Lead or assist in client meetings and pitches, providing strategic advice and proposals to structure and execute transactions
Ensure that the team is a proactive conduit between Citi's Global Consumer Bank (GCB), Commercial Bank (CCB) and Institutional Clients Group (ICG) to maximize Citi's holistic position

12 - 15 years of management experience in Investment Banking, Transaction Banking, Commercial Banking or Consulting with expertise in financial services and knowledge in Partnerships and Fin Tech
In depth knowledge of financial services, digital commerce, payment industry
Successful track record of executing deals
Prior P&L management experience, strong financial acumen and ability to think strategically
Experience leading cross-functional / matrix teams, through a clear and consistent line of sight regarding critical work activities
Experience managing virtual teams
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred / JD (legal) background an advantage
Travel approximately 30%
