This is a junior management position with initially 3-6 direct reports. We are looking for candidates with a small amount of people management experience. The manager is responsible for leading and managing a diverse team of Financial Data Analysts (FDAs), Financial Data Specialists (FDSs) and Team Leaders (TLs) in support the Ratings & Research Support (RRS) functions working in the GMO to ensure data consistency and accuracy of information processed across the group. The Manager will play a critical role in building relationships with our stakeholders in LOB and the Manager will also need to have a diverse skill set in order to lead the operations and engage and collaborate with other teams in Moody's such as Information Technology, Commercial Group, Rating Groups, Legal, and Compliance. Responsibilities will include:
Manage staff with project and problem analysis, effectively communicate with management and adhere to company's policies and procedures.
Mentor and develop the team members while providing on-going support to senior manager.
Supervision of the team with accountability for quality assurance by reviewing data discrepancy reports, documenting, tracking and resolution.
Become a subject matter expert in GMO processes and ensuring proper process
documentation and adequate training by conducting periodic training and process reviews
Develop and prepare presentations for the analytical community outlining enhancements, current responsibilities and future enhancements.
Ensure and control quality of execution (ensure and assess rating eligibility, compliance with operating policies/guidelines and data accuracy, etc.)
Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
Coordinate large EMEA operations/ action releases across internal GMO departments.
A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results
Understand and apply legal, compliance, and credit policies and practices.
Requires relevant team management or supervisory experience
Tactical and strategic management skills with the ability to mentor and build high performance teams
Requires prior financial services or financial data/process management/operation/middle office experience with a proven track record in operational effectiveness
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is critical.
Excellent communicator, articulate and well presented
Able to communicate with varying levels of seniority within the organization and be able to interface with all levels of business to build consensus to move forward initiatives
Strong self starter and able to be a driving force to execute on initiatives with minimal supervision
Intermediate to advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Bachelor or Master degree required. Further education an advantage
