The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
The Performance Excellence group is responsible for project and lean effort intake, prioritization and execution. The Performance Excellence group manages projects and lean efforts across the organization as well as co-manages enterprise projects with our partner organizations: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington Medical Center. The Performance Excellence group is comprised of EPMO Project Managers, CPI Associates, Resource and Operations Managers, Consultants and Project Coordinators.
The Enterprise Project Coordinator I works under the direction of the Performance Excellence Business Operations Manager to provide support to CPI Management, SCCA Performance Excellence Projects and Lean Efforts. Support varies by individual and project needs and can consist of ensuring that all meetings and workshops are set-up for success, maintaining and distributing documentation, collecting financial data and supporting IFD on and off site events.
The Enterprise Project Coordinator I provides customer service support to our Performance Excellence Leadership, multidisciplinary project team leads and members by maintaining communication tools and coordinating work across departments and partner organizations; Supports and coordinates Initiative projects and Lean efforts that are large, complex, and/or high-profile and have multiple work-stream Project Managers and CPI Associates assigned; Creates and maintains complex project tracking systems and reports; Contributes to process improvements of Performance Excellence and provides mentoring for department staff.
The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was incorporated in 1998 as a separate, jointly governed non-profit that included the cancer programs of three partners. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s. The purpose of this organization is to provide state-of the-art patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest, and according to the National Cancer Data Base, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients in general have better survival rates than patients treated at other cancer treatment centers.
