Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing the complex daily operations, implementation and processing of admissions applications (through Apply Texas, EAB, or other electronic formats) and application materials for the Office of Admissions. The Associate Director, Admissions-Operations and Systems utilizes technological solutions to manage application flow and utilizes queries and data analytics platforms to monitor and improve processes and efficiencies. This position also serves as the Admissions lead for Banner, supervises admissions processing staff, and administers policies at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Manage operations of application development and deployment, including testing applications; responsible for application data loads and troubleshooting technical errors that impact work flows
Works closely with ITS on project management, testing, upgrades, and new functionality implementation
Upload test scores (i.e. SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) to student information system; serves as the primary point of contact with testing agencies to ensure timely test results and appropriate integration points.
Directly involved in application processes including, but not limited to application data loads, scanning, indexing, configuration/integration
Provide direction and supervision to admissions processing staff
Work closely with the Financial Aid & Registrar's Offices to maintain data integrity and compliance
Develop and disseminate reports on application data to guide recruitment strategy and to monitor efficiency
Serve as lead for admission on document management system implementation
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree and eight years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Oracle, SQL, Access or other databases/statistical software
Experience with data mapping and data crosswalk platforms (ie . Axiom, Informatica, Atomic)
Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and. database applications
Knowledge of functions of higher education
Knowledge of recruitment and marketing
Knowledge of student information system (Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask
Ability to lead and motivate others
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within the first 30 days of employment
