Columbia Business School Executive Education (CBSEE) is a premier provider of learning and development for participants on a global scale. We serve the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in a wide range of business programs. We reach our students through 3 primary channels: Open, Customized and Online Programs. All channels are experiencing growth with Online Programs forecasted to grow globally at a rapid pace. The role of Operations Manager, Online and Digital Programs, will be paramount to ensuring current success and future growth.
Reporting to the Head of Online and Digital Programs, the Operations Manager of Online and Digital Programs ensures the smooth running of both in-house online programs and those with partner organizations, on all phases of program development and delivery. S/he will work with the entire Online and Digital Programs team on logistical activities, customer support and financial reporting. Internally, s/he will liaise with the Finance and Purchasing departments as well as Human Resources and Learning Solutions to ensure the programs are supported throughout interdepartmental workflows.
Additionally, the Manager will act as an advisor to participants, vendors and part-time support staff. This individual will demonstrate working knowledge of Executive Education portfolio and how to differentiate offerings between Executive Education's online offerings and its peer schools.
Provide operational support for the development and delivery of online programs, both in-house and with external partners. Coordinate regular meetings and manage projects to achieve consistent and standardized online program operations.
Serve as the initial point of contact for the day-to-day communications with online program partners. Track program progress and keep minutes of meetings with internal and external partners.
Research best practices and create efficiencies to improve the operations and delivery of our in-house and partnership programs. Support the online team with new deliverables to improve the operations of the overall online program portfolio.
Obtain program materials and cases and provide additional logistical support for the execution of online programs.
Plan and execute all production related tasks for film shoots and other ad-hoc meetings and events.
Assist prospective participants in registering and paying for programs. Provide customer service support for partnership and in-house online programs.
Monitor team inbox and respond to queries from prospective participants promptly and accurately. Liaise with departments across the School to resolve inquiries and support participant needs.
Run online and phone orientation sessions to in-house online program participants. Provide training and support on the use of the learning management system.
Manage financial and enrollment record keeping and reporting for various programs running concurrently.
Manage all aspects of reporting and administration. Track and ensure the timely payment of faculty and staff for all online and digital programs.
Assist the Head of Online and Digital Program with program budget and reconciliation tracking.
Assist with other projects and sales and marketing activities as they arise.
Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. 3-5 years related experience required.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Detail orientated and proven track record of taking initiative and can anticipate and prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to perform non-routine work, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently, as well as within teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and Internet utilization.
Prior experience in an educational context, especially administering online educational programs. Interest in developing web content for online programs.
