The Audio Supervisor is responsible for the installation, operation and coordination of audio/video/stage communication systems for the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center.
1.Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2.Minimum 3 years technical experience working with live sound engineering for a variety of events and musical ensembles. 3.Minimum 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in a performing arts environment. 4.A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of audio/video production, organization and supervisory management in a multipurpose facility 5.Knowledge of current microphones and their proper use and placement; amplifiers; speaker systems; digital mixing consoles; all hardware associated with monitors, in-ear monitors, wireless technology, networking, and IP based audio systems. 6.Ability to troubleshoot technical problems of audio/video equipment and applications – knowledge of acoustics, feedback issues, decibel targeting and adjusting 7.Ability to coordinate multiple projects in several different venues, prioritize tasks and work within tight deadlines and budgets 8.Proficient with computer software applications related to the field. 9.Knowledge of theatrical lighting and its equipment and operation of stage machinery 10.Excellent and proven organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively interact and collaborate with team members, clients, university departments and personnel. 11.Ability to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings when needed. 12.Maintains a safe, healthy, and clean work/shop environment. 13.Performs other related work as required.
