TechForce Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to champion students to and through their education and into careers as professional technicians in the transportation industry. Our corporate partnerships include Advance Auto Parts, Amsoil, AutoZone, Bridgestone, Daimler, CarMax, Ford, FedEx Freight, General Motors, Great Dane, Interstate Batteries, Manheim, Mercedes-Benz USA, Nissan North America, Shell Pennzoil, Snap-on, Sunstate Equipment, Toyota USA Foundation, Universal Technical Institute, Valvoline, WD-40 and more. This position spearheads the marketing activation and account management of TechForce Foundation’s corporate partnerships (named above) by cultivating engagement and loyalty with target audiences and key constituencies, delivering marketing value and contractual obligations to our corporate supporters and donors, and working to increase the power of the brand through our corporate partners’ channels in order to drive increased revenue and brand exposure. Position will be based in Scottsdale, AZ at TechForce headquarters. Remote access may be considered. Will require 15% overnight travel.
Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables
Spearhead account management, serving as the marketing point person with the Foundation’s corporate and media partners to specifically coordinate social media calendars, implementation of marketing promotions and campaigns, exchange of logos, videos and imagery, receive approval for use of Marks in marketing, editorial copy, press releases, etc.
Ensure data fields, contact information and notes related to conversation and interactions for each corporate partnership is entered into the Foundation’s CRM database software (HubSpot). Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all contacts data points;
Assist corporate partners in thinking through how to implement the Foundation’s campaigns and promotions, including email, social, digital and mobile marketing campaigns that foster on-going dialog with segmented audiences (customers, employees, dealerships, franchisees, vendors, school partners, and more);
Participate, on a daily-basis, in the Foundation’s social media channels by writing, tagging, posting, monitoring the channels for activity, suggesting and repurposing/liking/following others’ content (with a keen eye on corporate partner activity), and engaging with the Foundation’s followers/audience so that the Foundation’s digital traffic, Google indexing, and brand reputation increases;
Help the Foundation to story tell, and corporate partners to share their stories and brands, by advocating for the partners when various video testimonials and PSAs are being scheduled, and ensure that the Foundation delivers on all its contractual agreements. Additionally, assist the Foundation in building its video and photographic assets by securing donated intellectual properties from our corporate partners. Coach corporate partners on best practices and ways to leverage these opportunities.
Ensure each corporate partner and donor partnership agreement is fulfilled per any contractual obligations, the funds are received on-time, and that renewal conversations are directed.
Assist in writing corporate partner updates to either be sent directly, posted on LinkedIn, appear in eNews letters and/or in partner Impact Reports. Always be considering what news and information partners need to or want to know, and serving as the conduit to deliver.
Ensure corporate partners and board members have access to the Foundation’s online Sponsors’ Resource Center so they may efficiently activate their investment in the FutureTech Success campaign by ensuring the site’s content is uploaded and current; that user-access credentials assigned, and partners are trained on how to access and use the Resource Center;
Identify case studies that result in corporate partners effectively maximizing the campaigns, write them up and feed them to other partners to aid in the learning environment;
Manage the organization and planning of special event(s) and meetings for the Foundation, including coordinating details related to hotel, travel, food & beverage, A/V, attendees’ experience, entertainment, agendas and logistics. Also spearhead the event communications and marketing, ensuring the event details are well understood and/or that attendance is driven. ;
Provide administrative duties as needed;
Perform special projects as needed;
Other duties as assigned.
Familiarity and experience with social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube, as well as SEO, Ad Words and digital marketing experience required;
Excellent writing skills and ability to produce articles, newsletters, press releases, stories, and other written content;
Experience with Wordpress required;
Knowledge of video and photo editing software strongly desired;
Basic marketing acumen and creativity to develop, create, direct and/or produce marketing assets;
Strong computer skills and knowledge of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (including Gmail, Drive, Docs)
Familiarity with Cloud-based distribution and communications apps, such as MailChimp, SurveyMonkey and Hubspot, desired but not required;
Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to deal with a variety of personalities in a professional manner;
Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills;
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
High School diploma / GED required;
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism, English/writing, communications, public policy, digital arts, film production, or other similar degree is highly preferred. Will consider an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability;
Minimum three – five years of work experience in marketing, social media, journalism, media/public relations, videography and/or communications required.
