The George Mason University, Facilities Department is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Senior Project Manager position.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing capital planning, project planning and programming, design, construction, and fit-out for capital and non-capital projects from project initiation through turn-over.
Bachelor's degree, Engineering or BArch, architecture or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A valid state driver's license
Registered Architect or Licensed Professional Engineer (in any state) required, or an ability to obtain within one year. Ability to transfer an out of state registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer to the Commonwealth of Virginia and obtain certification as a Virginia Construction Contracting Officer within one year.
Significant experience with large multi-million dollar facilities projects to include: planning, design, and construction; preferably in an institutional environment such as institutions of higher education required. Experience mentoring and providing direction to Project Engineers and lower level Project Managers highly desired. Experience in all phases of the Project Management cycle to include: Planning, Design, and Construction for all contract types required. Typically this level of experience will be obtained through significant demonstrated experience in progressively complex engineering or architectural positions.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
