Bancassurance has become an increasingly important business line at the bank providing various risk management, protection and long term savings solutions to both consumers and SME business owners.
DBS has established a number of partnerships in our six primary markets including long term strategic regional bancassurance partnerships with Manulife Financial for life insurance product solutions in four of our markets and Chubb Insurance for general insurance in five of our markets.
Currently the bank serves customers through a multi-distribution strategy including face to face, telesales and increasingly through digital e-channels.
The primary role of this position is to support the bank achieve regional Bancassurance expansion and growth objectives through a multi-channel distribution channel strategy in our six primary markets through competitive and effective financial security, protection long term savings product solutions.
With a strong customer focus, develop and implement business strategies and distribution support initiatives to achieve segment, franchise and product group sales, productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction KPI's.
To lead in the development and support the in-country execution of progressive distribution strategies for the group taking into consideration the changing business environment, effects of fintech and the digital transformation of the market and changes in consume, SME and corporate demand for risk management products
At regional levels assist in the strategic business planning and implementation of strategic initiatives to support pre-determined sales performance and business objectives of each country for both life and general insurance
Working closely with in-country regional and local franchise distribution teams and local Bancassurance product and learning and development depts., develop sales and service skills and competencies of our front line teams by implementing training and skill enhancement programs to optimize productivity and customer service satisfaction levels
To work closely with all business partners and product providers on their product, market and sales support offerings to meet the needs of our customers
To collaborate with the regional team for the rollout of special projects in a systematic and organized way, and align the best practices across the region
University graduate, advanced degrees or professional designations in financial planning helpful
Minimum 15 years' experience in financial services and or relevant consulting organizations supporting the financial services industry
Candidate should have a strong demonstrable background in distribution, sales leadership and change management
Experience in self-directed and digital channels advantageous
Strong written and oral communication skills and inter-personal relationship acumen
Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills
Good organizational and project management skills
Proactive, creative and independent
