Context for the role:
The Technical Delivery Assurance Lead will oversee a cross section of the technical delivery programmes that are executed by the Technology organisation across M&G Prudential. This is c.£100m investment in 2019 and cover c.50-60 programmes and projects. The role holder will drive rigour and discipline in delivery management upon a cross-section of the technical programmes that are being delivered and being mobilised. In doing so will provide a single view of major technology delivery milestones, critical path and risk, ensuring that the Technology organisation meets its commitments to the M&G Prudential Organisation/key stakeholders/customers.
This role requires a strong customer focus, combined with problem solving and technical expertise. The role holder should drive rigour on technical delivery, identifying critical path, dependencies, and risks and work with the technical delivery leads to drive certainty in the technical deliveries.
The role will require significant management of interdependencies, collaboration and stakeholder management across the M&G Prudential organisation. Therefore, the ability to build and manage complex relationships will be key to the success of the role.
Responsible lead for creation, management and reporting of technical delivery status upon a cross-section of the technical delivery commitments in Technology (c.£100m investment and c.50-60 programmes and projects)
Responsible lead for driving rigour and discipline across a section of the technical delivery programmes
Responsible lead for driving identification of critical path, dependencies and risks to Technology technical delivery commitments and securing mitigations through the relevant technical delivery teams
Responsible lead for determining senior management priority deep dives required within the cross section of Technology technical delivery programmes to enable focused support and interventions
Responsible lead for providing the framework and support model to the relevant technical delivery teams to enable them to deliver in a standardized rigorous manner
Responsible lead for build, maintenance and adoption of a single technical delivery methodology across the relevant technical delivery teams in Technology
Responsible lead for operating an optimised technical delivery assurance model across the relevant technical delivery teams in Technology through a combination of centralised and federated teams
Experience of influencing stakeholders at senior level
Significant experience of generating practical solutions to complex problems
Significant experience of providing complex recommendations and inputs to technical delivery deliveries
Significant experience of working in complex and ambiguous environments
Significant experience of leading a matrix team, building, organising and providing leadership
Significant experience of delivering complex technical programmes
Significant experience working across many parallel technical delivery commitments
Significant experience working in a fast moving and constantly evolving environment
Significant experience of delivering software delivery life cycle (SDLC) change and continuous improvement
Detailed knowledge of information/digital technologies
