The Project Coordinator provides project coordination, research, basic analysis, and operational support to support the activities of the Manager of the Department of Strategic Partnerships .
Support Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts on project strategy and the business development process, as required and directed
Maintain Gantt Charts for projects, staying abreast of and updating key tasks and deliverables
Attend high-level meetings with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts. Prepare summaries and disseminate information to appropriate parties.
Independently follow through on all assigned responsibilities adhering to time-sensitive deadlines. Investigate any issues impeding deliverables and escalates issues that need guidance
Provide organizational support to established and new initiatives.
Prepare presentations, charts, or graphs, and generate reports to support projects and other activities of the Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts.
Develop skills in advanced presentation tools.
Under general guidance, conduct research, analysis and prepare reports and present findings to the Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, hospital administration and leadership, often dealing with confidential subject matters.
Take the lead on various administrative tasks such as complex calendar management, preparing meeting agendas, organizing/arranging travel, and submitting receipts for travel expenses.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of project coordination experience in healthcare or related field.
The ability to develop, facilitate, and orchestrate effective communication with all members of the Center such as technical staff, clinical staff (investigators, nurses etc), administration, research and clerical support staff, and institutional leaders (physicians and administrators).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to communicate, explain, interpret, share and present information to employees, management and clinical staff and patients at MSKCC as well as appropriate external contacts.
A knack for juggling competing priorities and can manage several tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
The ability to plan, organize, facilitate and lead meetings, to develop programs, to manage projects and to prioritize work across several services/departments.
A calm response to dealing with adversity; A willingness to own up to mistakes and learn from them.
An intellectual curiosity, quick ability to learn, and ask questions and a desire to teach others.
Advanced proficiency in use of computers and software such as database management, spreadsheet, word processing and graphics applications and the ability to learn data systems utilized at MSKCC
