Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Project Manager.
Analytical expertise in operational and business change requirements
Ability to clearly articulate the project scope, manage, interpret the deliverables and translate theory into practical business solutions
Write Terms of Reference, Business Requirement Document
Draft Project Plans, and manage deliverables as per the plan
Manage multiple work streams with competing priorities
The role holder will work closely with a number of stakeholders on a local and regional basis and so will need to be able to work effectively remotely and across timezones
The role holder will also be expected to achieve results through influence and persuasion as well as exercise direct authority where appropriate
Draft up business operating models
Assist locations in implementing global operating model and procedures
Provide the Project Manager with regular reporting on the assigned deliverables
Provide input for steering packs
Ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good influencing skills and interpersonal skills
Manage progress of tasks and deliverables throughout project, manage project plan
The individual will conduct status meetings, distribute status reports to project sponsors and stakeholders, manage expectations, and serve as main communication source
Coordinate and manage any major workshop, meetings involving multiple project participants, collaborate with other business analyst to facilitate the progress of the workshop with Subject Matter Experts
Oversee and escalate issues when tasks in the critical path are not completed
Own the process flow maps, capture changes on future state diagram as they are made
Manage multiple work streams and taking ownership for the implementations at several stages of the project including requirements gathering and documentation, quality assurance, User Acceptance Testing, and go live readiness
Manage business requirements, prioritize, communicate them clearly to the global project teams, and manage dependencies with other business direction
Build strong working relationships with the Business and the service provider
Liaise with relevant functional heads on project issues, risks, timelines and dependencies with other initiatives
Able to define both Business and Functional requirements
Reengineer the existing business processes, and make suggestions to simplify business flows, and recommend target operating model in consultation with the service provider
Engage Senior Business stakeholders and secure resources, in both the Business and the service provide, for project implementation
A good understanding of asset management business, preferably within trade servicing, and counterparty onboarding and due diligence
Experience of business change and Target Operating Model analysis for an asset management business
Business Analysis experience
The ability to devise efficient solutions to business challenges and provide analytic expertise in operational and business change.
A track record of working in a global environment with distributed business users and resources
Able to interact with business stakeholders and should be confident to challenge the business, where appropriate, seeking guidance when required
