Under the supervision of the Director of Business Management and Analysis, manages the programs and operations within the School of Medicine, through managing staff of professional, exempt, and non-exempt employees to deliver operational, project management, consulting, and administrative services for the organization. Essential Responsibilities:
Program management: Leads and provides program management, administrative, and operational services across defined areas within the organization through process development, system implementation, business case creation, and policy and procedural execution. Partners with leaders to develop a level of services and day-to-day operations. Monitors budgets and financial performance and identifies opportunity to reduce cost.
Planning and implementing: Consults with leaders to develop initiatives that are consistent with the organization. Determines objectives and sets priorities, anticipating potential risks and opportunities within defined areas within the organization. Leads a team to address business initiatives and provides direction to teams to support. Participates as part of a management team in formulating, implementing, and evaluating business plans, processes, and initiatives.
Resource management: Manages a team that may include multiples lines of business. Manages the efforts of direct and indirect reports, and collaborates with, provides guidance to, and influences employees, partners, and leaders. Assists the Director to determine the appropriate staff mix and manages the recruitment processes. Maintains the competency of staff to meet assigned objectives and leads and facilitates ongoing development. Responsible for performance management, compensation decisions, rewarding and recognizing employees, and providing regular performance feedback. Works in partnership with leadership and other staff to ensure the needs are met and resources are deployed appropriately.
