The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of Easterseals. The Senior Facilities Manager ensures that Easterseals has the most suitable working environment for its employees, program, and services. Further the Senior Facilities Manager is involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises.
Over-see day to day operation in relation to building and the premise of multiple locations.
Supervises facility management department, including building and grounds maintenance, security, and cleaning - whether outsourced or employed by the agency.
Project management and supervising and coordinating work of contractors
Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value.
Prepares documents to put out proposals for contractors.
Investigates availability and suitability of options for new premises.
Plans for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
Manages and leads change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
Directs, coordinates, and plans essential central services such as, security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling.
Ensures the buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation and funder requirements.
Plans best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings or re-organizing current premises.
Checks that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
Coordinates and leads one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
Uses performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement.
Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
Participates in the development of the organization’s annual plan and long-range strategic plans.

Strong knowledge of building mechanicals, electric, plumbing, and painting
Procurement and bidding processes
Excellent grasp of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Seven years of experience in Facilities Management
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have the ability to work well with all levels of the organization

Excellent organization and supervisory skills
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects
