The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Recruiting Assistant who is an energetic and positive individual who can meet the demands of supporting a Division I football program.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the planning and execution of on-campus recruiting visit logistics, including official visits, unofficial visits, and game days. Collaborate with other DAPER coaches and staff toward multi-sport recruiting events.
Evaluate and select vendors based on stakeholder requirements.
Manage elements of the Football recruiting budget and conduct cost-benefit analyses for new and existing opportunities, especially as it relates to recruiting events.
Manage the recruiting database by processing incoming prospect communications, recruiting services data and coaching staff's evaluations - both academic and athletic. Ensure timely movement and precise updates of prospects through evaluation pipeline.
Develop and produce branded communications and marketing materials to prospects and their families - both print and digital.
Develop and implement recruiting innovations for Football by evaluating best practices in college recruiting and related arenas of branding and communication.
Organize and plan the coaching staff visits to high schools and prospects during evaluation and contact periods, including liaising with high schools as needed.
Work collaboratively with the Football Operations staff on team events, game day operations and football camps and clinics.
Ensure NCAA and Pac-12 compliance and complete required documentation for all program and coaching staff recruiting activities in liaison with Compliance Services.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Associate's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience required.
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience working in college or pro sports is strongly preferred.
The candidate must have prior knowledge of NCAA rules compliance, excellent organizational and office management skills, and a strong attention to detail. The individual has to work under pressure and time constraints with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced atmosphere.
It is essential to have experience with recruiting database management software such as ACS, Front Rush, ARMS, HUDL or other services.
Must have a mastery of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
It is preferred to have demonstrated skill and creativity in graphic design with Adobe Photoshop.
It is preferred to have mastery of social media platforms. The individual must have the desire to continually update personal computing, communications and information technology knowledge.
The individual must work collaboratively with a large coaching and support staff and in many independent endeavors. Stanford Football is looking for an energetic and positive individual who can meet the demands of supporting a Division I football program.
