Corporate & Digital Solutions (CDS) is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, comprised of Corporate Equity Solutions (CES), Retirement Plan Solutions (RPS), and MS Financial Wellness, as well as our Digital Solutions team driving and defining the digital and online experience for wealth management and corporate clients. The overall goal and vision of Corporate & Digital Solutions is to create a corporate experience and a consistent corporate employee ("participant") experience and to engage them throughout their financial life journey that will ultimately lead to a furthering and deepening of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationships. Our approach will be highly scalable, leveraging an omni-channel strategy with an emphasis on messaging, onboarding, cross-selling, activation and servicing. Our goal will be to drive growth across all client segments, including the Mass-Affluent, with new digital capabilities.
The Financial Reporting Department consists of an accounting and data team. The group assists our corporate clients with their financial reporting related to equity based compensation.
Overview of Role/Responsibilities:
Manage client reporting relationships, which includes but is not limited to:
Interact with mid/senior level contacts (Controller, Finance VP, CFO, etc) at corporate clients to identify stock-based compensation reporting needs and convey those needs to the internal organization
Implement clients on the Morgan Stanley reporting system
Coordinate process and data flows between corporate clients and Morgan Stanley
Respond to client questions/issues to assist clients in fulfilling their reporting requirements
Provide client education related to ASC 718, ASC 260, IFRS and maintain ongoing client communications
Aid in development and documentation of key procedures and controls related to FAS financial reporting
Participate in product development and process improvement initiatives
Assist in sales demonstrations.
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance related field preferred. CPA or CEP a plus.
Minimum 8-10 years of related experience; experience with equity plan administration and services a plus.
Exposure to financial reporting and monthly closes a plus
Solid understanding of accounting flows.
In-Depth knowledge of ASC 718 guidelines and reporting requirements is a plus.
Well-developed problem solving skills necessary to identify multiple solutions for issues/problems related to clients accounting and reports. Ability to identify trends.
Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines and attention to details.
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain solid working relationships with clients in a dynamic environment.
Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to communicate with senior level professionals at corporate clients.
Strong computing skills (MS Office). IT proficient and a quick learner of new applications and tools.
