The Morgan Stanley Virtual Engagement Associate role is a unique opportunity to prepare and develop the skillset for a career in the Wealth Management division of the financial services industry. Consulting Group & Mutual Fund Sales Virtual Associates will work in a centralized location to provide virtual support to Financial Advisors. They will focus primarily on generating operating leverage and faster growth through the consistent deployment of digital tools that disseminate relevant content and analyses to clients and prospects. Position Summary The Virtual Engagement Associate - Consulting Group & Mutual Fund Sales will be responsible for driving and executing on reporting and analysis to the sales team and advisor field, as well as other strategic initiatives. In addition, they will manage both strategic and technical projects aimed to improve overall business practices and efficiencies. This person will report to the team managers and leverage Morgan Stanley's state-of-the-art financial tools on behalf of experienced Financial Advisors, helping them develop their business and increase client engagement. After completing the term of their role, successful associates will earn preferential status in transitioning to a sales role for example, the two-year Wealth Advisor Associate (WAA) program. Virtual Engagement Associate - Consulting Group & Mutual Fund Sales Desk Job Responsibilities: Associates will learn and implement our CRM solution in supporting sales and reporting initiatives. Associates will interact with advisors discussing specialized reporting requests, related client and prospect situations, and various research related needs, with the goal of delivering requested prospect and client support elements. Associates will support Sales Desk personnel in answering incoming calls, as well as be trained to make productive outbound sales calls. Associates will be tasked with gaining proficiency in various tools for the conduct of daily business as well as the eventual training of incoming associates. Associates may be tasked with coordinating with other departments retrieving and/or delivering information or fulfilling project needs. Associates will provide advice and support to Financial Advisors across various asset management investment products, including Mutual Funds, Closed End Funds, Unit Investment Trusts, 529 Plans, Money Markets and Separately Managed Accounts.
Virtual Engagement Associate - Consulting Group & Mutual Fund Sales Desk Job Requirements: Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 (or equivalent) Must hold a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of financial services experience or related industry preferred Possess exemplary communication, presentation and time-management skills. Stay organized, focused, and highly disciplined. Be able to keep track of simultaneous competing needs of their assigned Financial Advisors and execute on all necessary actions in a timely manner. Seek constructive feedback and coaching from both their Sales Desk Managers and Financial Advisors, actively using it to improve how they approach future tasks. Proactively analyze client relationships and make recommendations to team members and ultimately advisors on how to supplement the client experience. Establish, maintain and support strong working relationships with Financial Advisors and Product Team members. Demonstrate accountability and a strong work ethic to promote confidence and trust in their work. Be authorized to work in the U.S. without durational restrictions.
