The Branch Administration & Operations (BAO) department helps bankers focus on the customer by establishing and maintaining Processes, managing Changes and Projects, coordinating related Operations and Technology partners, while providing customized Field Support to the over 50,000 branch employees.
The BAO Program Management Office is responsible for the implementation of projects and programs that introduce change to the field. These changes can be physical, systemic, procedural, or a combination of all. Examples include the implementation of tablet technology, aligning the customer experience across channels, reducing our paper footprint, and process and/or organizational redesign. The PMO collaborates with multiple stakeholders (technology, training, marketing, sales, communication, controls, third-parties, etc.) to ensure successful project/program implementation on time and on budget.
As a Sr. Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing and managing large and/or complex programs and projects across the Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB). The individual in this role will be assigned to manage priority initiatives with significant financial, process, and organizational impacts that cut across multiple business lines and functions. Key attributes include the ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior business leaders and other project and program sponsors, quickly and comprehensively assess and address issues associated with supported initiatives, and the ability to identify and implement improvements within the overall project delivery methodology.
Drive project methodology consistency and maturity across the team
Work closely with senior business leadership to influence process, requirements and solutions
Establish the program/project approach and define the necessary work activities to achieve objectives
Manage multiple medium to large projects across the business simultaneously
Lead diverse project teams (business, corporate, technology, etc.) through the project lifecycle to deliver on time and with quality
May manage team of project managers/resources in a direct or matrixed manner
Prepare standard and ad hoc management reporting and presentations
Escalate issues and risks appropriately, driving wiwto resolution
Manage budget for initiatives
Drive a culture of community and inclusivity across the team and department
Be a leader and influencer across BAO/CAO
BA with 5+ years project management experience involving business, operations and technology delivery
Master’s degree in Business or related field and/or experience is a plus
Professional designation/certification, continuous learning a plus
Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional projects and initiatives; an organized, self-driven owner
Strong client relationship skills - highly collaborative, builds rapport and credibility, actively looks for ways to improve service to clients
Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop employees; lead and influence cross-functional teams
A demonstrated bias for action, creative problem-solving, and bringing chaos to order
Excellent communication and presentation skills; has the ability to frame messages for different audiences and “tell the story”
Proficient with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications
Proven experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to travel 15-20%
