HealthBegins, a mission-driven healthcare consulting firm based in Los Angeles, is accepting applications for a generalist project manager with a proven track record successfully delivering on professional services engagements, preferably by working with cross-sector, remote teams in health or healthcare.
This individual’s main goal is to create and manage the execution of project work plans, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements, and to communicate effectively with the internal team as well as with clients and external stakeholders. The qualified candidate must be a quick learner, curious, and excel at identifying problems and quickly troubleshooting them. This is a full-time, salaried position.
Set scope, timeline, milestones and deliverables to ensure successful contract execution for multiple clients
Understand overall client strategic intent, direction, and objectives
Develop project schedule and resource allocation plan
Serve as main point of contact for client to manage overall client relationship and satisfaction
Identify and prioritize client issues and activities, including by identifying and raising risks to project timeline
Occasional travel to client sites to solidify relationships, better understand their environment
Support Statement of Work creation as needed for clients and consultants
Verify project staff and consultants are upholding internal processes to ensure consistent operations
Identify and bring in resources as required for quick response to client issues
Work with executive team to ensure internal processes and client-facing documents are current and in support of company goals
Document vital client communications
Provide project management subject matter expertise and support to the organization overall, when requested
Very well organized, clear communicator with great attention to detail, proactive, team player, strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with change and ambiguity, intellectual curiosity about social determinants of health and health equity, and willingness to work outside of the job description to help our team and mission succeed. The qualified candidate possesses broad experience in handling difficult or sensitive situations, in a professional, timely, and thorough manner. Must be able to work on a diverse team and with a diverse range of people.
Required skills and qualifications include:
Demonstrable knowledge of industry-recognized project management methodologies
Ability to prioritize issues /escalations and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Quick analysis, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
Highly organized with exceptional follow through
Self-starter and highly-motivated to provide excellent customer service
Minimum two years general project management experience required, PMP certification preferred but not required
Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work history post-high school
Proficient at all aspects of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with Google Suite products including Drive, Meet, and Calendar
Ideal candidate is willing to work Monday through Friday in Burbank, CA. Telecommuting options are available for exceptional candidates and for those who require accommodations we cannot provide in our office
