Position Summary: The incumbent serves as a working supervisor overseeing the Helpdesk. Responsible to design, develop, implement, and evaluate the overall strategy for effective Helpdesk services. Serves as a project leader as appropriate. Provides effective supervision to Helpdesk Operators.
Rate Minimum $63,400.00 Maximum $142,800.00
Required Qualifications:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to manage multiple medium to large scale projects with multiple stakeholders in a cross matrix environmentBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experienceDemonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staffDemonstrated experience in healthcare IT, preferably in an academic hospital settingDemonstrated experience working as a project manager / leadDemonstrated skill to work independently and to prioritize and manage a relative number of simultaneous requests and to work on tasks which may not be clearly definedDemonstrated technical ability to install, and maintain MAC Windows operating systems environment including Office application suiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer systemMust be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as neededMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or VietnameseKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsPrior lead or supervisory experience
