Towson University is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant in the Printing Services Department. This position handles moderately complex administrative secretarial and clerical support to the Printing Services department. Responsible for all data entry of in-coming print work, retrieves all print jobs from Digital StoreFront Online Ordering System, addresses customers in person, by phone and via email, handles monthly invoicing, handles filing, prepares forms in Word and Excel, sends print files to multiple networked printers, screens mail, schedules meetings, makes travel arrangements, occasionally assists with workload in the shop.
Retrieves all print jobs from the Digital StoreFront Online Ordering system
Handles all data entry of in-coming hardcopy print work and assigns all print work to the correct print station
Screens telephone calls, assists visitors, responds to emails, bills student one cards for personal print work, and takes care of other routine matters
Prepares monthly personal billing and runs weekly revenue/credit reports
Creates journal uploads to adjust billing issues
Assists with student hiring by utilizing “Handshake” software
Prepares and sends print files to multiple network printers
Prepares Word and Excel documents
Works up price quotes for customers
Filing and other duties as needed
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience providing administrative support is required. General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite computer knowledge especially Excel and Word. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions. Ability and knowledge in preparing and sending printer files to various networked printers is preferred.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
Salary and Benefits
