An established, AAHA accredited, small animal veterinary clinic is seeking an experienced, full time Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician. We require a high standard of patient care, professional client communications, and have a detailed work environment with strong support staff, radiology and ultrasound, surgery suite with monitoring equipment, chemistry/hematology machines, full dental set up including dental radiology, computerized records, and more. The applicant must be responsible and reliable, have a good work ethic, must show initiative, work well with others but also work independently, able to prioritize and multi task. Applicant will be responsible for providing effective assistance to veterinarians in all aspects of patient care and client service, including but not limited to: greeting clients; obtain vital statistics from patients and histories from clients; client communication including preventative care, treatment and discharge plans; restraining animals; IV catheter placement; monitoring patients under anesthesia; sterile surgical prep; dental radiographs and performing dental prophylaxis; obtain, run and/or process blood, fecal, urine and laboratory samples; administration of oral and injectable medications; filling prescriptions; obtaining digital radiographs; maintaining cleanliness of the hospital and equipment; and reception duties such as answering telephones, scheduling appointments, checking in clients and admits, discussing estimates and obtaining payment for services. Current clinic hours are Mon-Thurs 8-5 and Friday 8-1pm.
