Rockwell Automation's Connected Enterprise Consulting Business assists customers in maximizing their performance by implementing solutions and projects to improve their manufacturing operations. Solutions will include current day industry best-practices and cutting-edge digital manufacturing technology. Reporting to the Global Connected Enterprise Consulting Leader, in this role you will lead delivery of individual engagements. Engagement delivery includes: analysis, facilitation, and documentation. You will be a Subject Matter Expert in Operation Technology or Information Technology (OT or IT) but have broad functional/technologies knowledge (e.g. Manufacturing, SCM, Analytics, Planning Scheduling, MES, WMS, QMS, PLM, etc.). You will support sales in your area of expertise.
Assist the sales organization in their consultative "Connected Enterprise" engagements
Collaboratively co-develop customer road maps with operational leadership so that our customers can visualize how they will improve their operational performance and move towards becoming world class
Facilitate workshop engagements to develop a detailed understanding of customer requirements and associated MES, IIoT, Analytics and Industrial Information Management capabilities
Assist in the development of proposals for each client and the successful completion of the sales process
Can illustrate the As Is – To Be states for the customer with associated cost savings or financial benefits
Can utilize current RA reference architectures and ecosystem of partners to deploy post workshop
Possess financial acumen, operational knowledge of manufacturing processes, business metrics
Translates the strategic direction and business objectives established by clients into holistic digital, technology, change management and organization strategies – Aligned with RA's capabilities for solving these needs
Drives a rigorous approach to solving problems in the context of global, economic, technology and social trends
Modernizes and drives costs from complex multi-national OT/ IT infrastructures
Service / Delivery
Lead strategic executive engagements with target customers
Communicate realistic expectations to clients on road maps and how they can operationalize capability that can improve their performance
Analyze, quantify, and document the client's manufacturing needs and requirements. Assist clients in utilizing industry standard tools and manufacturing information to solve business problems
Utilize and tailor industry standard metrics & methodologies to co- develop manufacturing improvement plans & solutions for clients
Lead teams of customers and consultants in developing high quality deliverables through workshop type engagement
Recognize and effectively address problems which impede the progress of moving towards an agreement in the overall road map and initial orders for obtaining solutions
Continuously expand breadth and depth of manufacturing operations knowledge and related information management practices
Support development and enhancement of service line offerings
Train fellow consultants on area of expertise in operations improvement
Update firm knowledge
Bring and add to firm expertise in areas of Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing
