Responsible for the proposal operation within a region for analytics solutions delivery opportunities. Owns and manages all proposal activities within a region, working closely with the Application Engineer, commercial and delivery teams based upon customer requirements and needs. Particular emphasis placed on all internal businesses and formulating a holistic solution proposal. Works closely with the sales and business teams to drive the pre-sales and proposal process. Owns and manages all proposal creation and tracking activities. Responsible to be the lead administrator for tracking data related to opportunities and proposal request within the region.
Responsible for the development of accurate proposal estimates and documents using standard tools/templates and procedures
Works with Application Engineers, solution consultants and delivery resources to establish pricing strategies to maximize revenue and gross margin dollars while minimizing risk based on scope identification of system requirements.
Work closely with the Contracts & Negotiations team ensure terms and proposal wording protect Rockwell Automation's best interest
Assure proper definition and delimitation of scope is properly stated within documentation
Provide commercial consultancy during the pre-sales and proposal phase
Coordinate inputs to the proposal process from various internal and external sources and manage the cost of developing each proposal
Develop accurate proposal documents and cost sheets using standard tools and procedures
Ensure that all company policies and procedures for obtaining required approvals are met. Prepare internal review documents
Ensure proper handover of as sold project data to project management (delivery team), support project kick-off phase
Coordinate and manage activities, resources and costs associated with developing proposals
Use creative and innovative approaches to deliver value to both customers and the company
Demonstrate expertise in applying technologies and processes to the proposal process
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to increase quality, speed and cost productivity
Responsible for following all company DOA policies and procedures. An understanding of the proposal process, and the skills associated with proposal management, procedures and generation (i.e. iPE procedures, writing, costing, margin, Terms & Conditions, etc.)
