As Staff Product Manager for Clinical Automation you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive clinical automation strategy, and supporting the development and commercialization of clinical automation solutions for NGS.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
•Develop market models including market sizing, customer segmentation, market share and revenue projections •Plan and execute market research activities, and maintain detailed understanding of customer needs, competitive situation and technology developments •Provide voice of customer input and drive the development of marketing requirements, priorities, and plans for new product and sustaining development •Collaborate with other application and system product managers to develop and implement whole product solutions •Work closely with Clinical Marketing, Segment Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales and other departments to develop and implement go-to-market strategies including channel, positioning and messaging, pricing & promotion, training materials and other sales enablement programs •Develop and maintain financial, unit forecasting, and pricing models •Establish and maintain successful relationships with key customers and partners to ensure successful adoption of new products.
Experiential background: •8+ years of relevant experience in product management, marketing, strategic marketing or similar positions, in Molecular Diagnostics, Life Sciences or a related field •At least 4 years of experience in liquid handling automation; experience in molecular diagnostic (LDT and IVD) assays, particularly NGS, is highly preferred •Strong knowledge of liquid handling automation market, competition and technology •Experience developing and commercializing IVD instruments •Understanding of clinical customers, laboratory workflows and validation activities, from sample to result, as well as downstream activities through patient reporting •Familiarity with global regulatory and reimbursement considerations •Experience establishing and managing partnerships •Strong time and project management, presentation and communication skills •Experience building financial, market and pricing models •Experience leading cross-functional teams •Track record influencing decision makers across all organization levels •Must be independent, strategically minded, and detail-oriented •Able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment •Experience in oncology, reproductive health and/or genetic health preferred •Willing to travel up to 35%
Educational background: •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required •MBA or Ph.D. is desirable
