Summary Lead Enterprise Architect P.4
Provides in-depth support and guidance to senior architects, senior developers, senior technical staff and business process owners to ensure that NRECA derives optimum value from the Enterprise Architecture Program. Develops and implements enterprise architecture artifacts, and processes that effectively integrate with other related business and IT processes.
Researches and prototypes concepts, patterns, tools, technologies to identify industry trends and best practices that may be useful to NRECA. Develops white-paper analysis and recommendations based on research. Works with IT and business teams to collaboratively define and implement best practices and recommendations. Selects, designs, codes, configures and maintains Architecture Toolsets and leads their use throughout the organization to integrate these Toolsets with Enterprise Applications and Tools for process modeling, application development and architecture activities. Manages mid-size Enterprise Architecture initiatives and projects; and contributes to any project requiring enterprise architecture support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides in-depth, collaborative support to other senior architects, senior developers, senior technical staff, and business process owners to ensure that NRECA derives optimum value from the Enterprise Architecture Program.
Analyzes current assets and identifies opportunities to further develop the Enterprise Architecture knowledge base and develop EA services to stakeholders.
Surveys inter-team capabilities and identifies gaps in business and technology domains and recommendations for better integration.
Develops and implements enterprise architecture processes that effectively integrate with other related business and IT processes.
Selects, designs, codes, configures and maintains Architecture Toolsets (e.g. Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Architecture (EA), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications and tool) and leads their use throughout the organization to integrate these Toolsets with Enterprise Applications and Tools ( e.g. Project Management, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Financial Management, Change Management ) for process modeling, application development and architecture activities.
Manages mid-size Enterprise Architecture initiatives and projects; and contributes either as Solution Architect or an Architecture Domain expert to any project requiring enterprise architecture.
Ensures exceptional customer service and serves as a business advisor to I&FS, cooperatives and internal services.
Requirements and Qualifications
Formal Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems and Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Architecture specific certifications such as: Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA), The Open Group on Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF), Certified Business Architect (CBA), and/or Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence (COE) EA Certification preferred.
Seven plus years' progressive experience in at least one of the following areas: application development, systems integration, systems engineering, network engineering, business process development, financial and insurance services. At least three plus years of experience within an Enterprise Architecture team in at least one of the following roles: Enterprise Architect, Business Architect, Information Architect, Application Architect, Technology Architect or Solution Architect; and three plus years of Project Management experience and demonstrated competency as a project or product manager of technology initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of at least 2 of the following: Programming / scripting languages / tools (e.g. Node.js, Java; HTML; XML; C#; C++, ASP.NET), Windows Server Products (e.g. SharePoint Portal Server, MS SQL Server, and BizTalk), enterprise level modeling tool or a Unified Markup Language (UML), API and schema development. Information Architecture tools such as ERWin and ER/Studio Information Architect preferred as demonstrated by prior work experience.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture such as Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner, etc.) and modeling methods as well as graphical modeling approaches and tools as demonstrated by prior work experience.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organizational skills and attention to detail as demonstrated by prior work experience.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary project/program teams or initiatives and provide leadership as the authority in a specialized field as demonstrated by prior work experience.
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors in a clear and precise manner as demonstrated by prior work experience.
I nterpersonal skills, member service orientation and ability to work in a team environment as demonstrated by prior work experience . Must be energetic, goal oriented and innovative.
