The CRISMA Program on Critical Care Health Policy and Management seeks a Program Manager for ongoing research projects related to health care delivery in the United States. The focus on the program is to study and improve healthcare delivery in the United States through both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Primary job duties are to ensure timely completion of team projects within budget and ensure regulatory compliance. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with program faculty and research staff to support funded studies within the program.
The Program Manager will be responsible for understanding all aspects of the studies and how they relate always knowing the status of the various tasks. The ideal candidate will ensure project timelines with deliverables and adjust timeframes as needed with feedback from the research team or as goals change. The incumbent will be familiar with general regulatory requirements such as IRBs, DUAs, and be able to produce study operating procedures ensuring study compliance.
The Program Manager will lead project meetings, draft research proposals, and prepare presentations. The incumbent will communicate with study sites and external vendors to obtain data. The Program Manager will be able to effectively communicate about data regarding data dictionaries and various formats when speaking with sites and vendors. They will also be able to do a high-level analysis of datasets to verify general data quality to provide these analyses to the project team, outside sites, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will have experience in multi-center clinical research and be familiar with the workings of the US healthcare system. Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and organizational skills, versatility, and the ability to work independently and within a team to promote multiple projects and tasks simultaneously are required. Experience in research project management required. Experience with online project management tools (e.g., SharePoint) and online survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics) and online is preferred. An understanding/strong desire to learn of/about different clinical data sources and types of data is preferred.
Master's degree in a suitable field (epidemiology, public health, health service research) plus experience in program evaluation in health care or a a related field. Extensive experience may be substituted for advanced degree requirements.
