ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach 1 section of Photoshop/Graphic Novel to 9th-12th-grade students at the Upper School campus. The course will cover Photoshop Basics. Students will start by creating logos, graphics, illustrations and eventually design a comic strip and comic book/graphic novel using Photoshop or other design programs such as illustrator or indesign.
Responsible for writing and developing new Photoshop curriculum.
Have a commitment to assisting in the assessment, growth, and success of the Film & Digital Media Program.
Work cooperatively with the department, faculty, and staff throughout the school in striving for educational excellence.
General involvement as a faculty member and in the assessment of student learning.
Support and continuous quality improvement through participation.
Will maintain and communicate high expectations and boundaries in a consistently kind, clear and respectful manner.
Maintain a climate of trust and mutual respect, which encourages students to risk asking questions, expressing their opinions, and making mistakes necessary to the learning process.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Participate in department, school, and parent meetings

Bachelors Degree required
2 years of prior middle school or upper school experience in Photoshop/Digital Media or 2 years of after school/camp experience preferred
Dynamic personality and enthusiasm for teaching
Interest in Digital Media and Design
Tech savvy (hardware and software, PC and MAC)
Ability to teach basic fundamentals of coding
Strong collaboration skills
Commitment and respect for diversity
Understanding of and commitment to the school mission and goals
Understanding of and commitment to teaching and motivating students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
