The Carbon Sequestration Trait Translation to Crops (CRoPS) Project manager will closely supervise the crop plants translation team, which is responsible for transforming, testing and evaluating multiple crops for traits compatible with increased carbon sequestration, e.g., extended root systems and increased content of recalcitrant polymers such as suberin). Leveraging extensive program management knowledge, the CRoPS Project Manager acts as an operational advisor to a cross- functional team, in order to meet program objectives as defined by the Executive Director/ Project Leadership Team. The Project Manager will organize all aspects of project activities and provide support to the science and team leaders by establishing timelines and budgets, tracking and coordinating efforts across teams, and facilitating effective information flow between Executive Director/ Project Leadership Team and research teams.
PhD degree in a biological science, or related discipline is required or combination of equivalent work experience, or demonstrated extensive leadership experience in a biotech/agronomy company.
Postdoc experience in plant biology or agronomy.
Must be willing to work in an animal-related research environment.
Successful completion of the Instituteâ™s background investigation.
