The Office of Communications at West Virginia University is seeking applicants for a Front-end Web Designer.(Professional Technologist 2.862) Using inventive and bold design techniques, the Front-End Web Designer is responsible for day-to-day creation, production and/or maintenance of several websites and digital products, including but not limited to: WVUToday.wvu.edu; ENews.wvu.edu, Mountaineer E-News, WVU Weekly, Magazine.wvu.edu and emails from the University president. In addition to the overall design and development of these products, the incumbent is responsible for research, development and implementation of the latest digital technologies, including responsive design, flexible grid systems and progressive enhancement techniques, and development of methodology for designing websites.
