The Associate Director of International Admissions and Recruitment will develop and lead Wright State University’s international recruitment efforts including but not limited to: strategic planning; social media and marketing; management of the recruiting and admissions staff; supervision of partner recruitment agencies; budget management; development of new recruiting connections; etc. the Associate Director will advise the Associate Vice President, colleges/departments as requested on the international student market and potential recruitment strategies. The Associate Director will be the initial point person for all aspects of international enrollment at WSU.
Master’s degree or equivalent.
Five years experience in a university or international organization setting with a significant amount of international experience/responsibilities.
S. citizenship or permanent residence (to permit institutional management of non-immigrant status compliance program).
Personal experience studying or working abroad.
Ability and willingness to travel 20-40% of the year.
Demonstrated fluency in a language other than English.
Experience as, or working with, international students and faculty.
Demonstrated understanding of international student recruiting methods and markets.
Prior supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience with developing and managing budgets and creating spreadsheets.?
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal and intercultural skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image.
Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job.

Extensive study or work experience within Asia, the Middle East, and/or Eurasia.
Experience developing institutional partnerships and joint degrees. – Prior experience developing and/or managing an international student recruiting network.
Experience working with faculty across various disciplines.
Essential Functions and percent of time:
25% Continual updating and management of WSU’s strategic plan for international marketing and recruitment efforts. This includes up-to-date international student market analysis and an ability to identify WSU’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities by region or country.
10% Work with senior university officials and faculty and staff to encourage the development of academic programs of interest to potential international students.
10% Facilitate, encourage and support international travel by university faculty and staff Facilitate contact and interaction between WSU senior officers and university, organization and government officials outside the United States.
20% travel internationally for WSU promotion and recruiting.
5% maintain, or create new, relationships with sponsoring agencies, partners, and recruiting representatives abroad.
25% As key member of UCIE management team, AD will manage the international admissions and recruitment team consisting of an Assistant Director and Admissions Coordinators to ensure seamless and efficient operations. Staff growth is expected as enrollment grows.
