The Program Manager (PgM) will provide program and project management support to assigned program(s) as well as oversee the progress of project operations within their assigned program(s). The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing a virtual staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. The PgM will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics for the management of their assigned program(s). The PgM will assist the Director, PMO in providing strategic guidance to project teams and project managers to deliver projects and process outcomes in ways that promote the company's growth and culture. The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver desirable outcomes to our organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with stakeholders, end-users, and engineering to deliver the assigned product(s) and related projects
Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
Coordinate cross-project activities
Lead, coordinate and evaluate resources throughout the program lifecycle, including people, process and technology
Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
Apply change, risk and resource management
Assume responsibility for the program's people and vendors
Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
Resolve projects' higher scope issues
Manage program and project scope to ensure effective and efficient delivery of outcomes to the business
Manage the elicitation, documentation, and communication of requirements between the business and technical stakeholders
Prepare reports for stakeholders and executive sponsors
Proven experience as a Program Manager or managerial position overseeing IT strategic initiatives
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills
Excellent problem-solving ability
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Professional certification(s) preferred, but not required: PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM, CSM, ITIL
