Montgomery College, Health Sciences Center, Takoma Park Silver Spring Campus, has an immediate need for a part-time Administrative Aide I, non-bargaining, non-exempt position. The work schedule is 20 hours per week, 4 hours per shift (flexible) Monday – Friday between 8:30am - 5:00pm. This is a temporary position with benefits funded through June 30, 2020. Employment continuation beyond this period is contingent upon need and funding. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College.

The Administrative Aide I assists the Project Manager with daily activities/duties related to the Montgomery College-University of Maryland School of Nursing dual admission program. Perform clerical support work involving a variety of office/administrative tasks and customer service-related responsibilities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Gives courteous assistance and accurate and helpful information to students, the general public, external stakeholders, and Montgomery College staff and faculty, in person, by electronic communication, and by telephone.
Assists in the planning and coordinating of a variety of special program activities/events.
Select, post and maintain currency of a wide variety of college notices, schedules, calendars, event promotions, and program procedures.
Distribute appropriate campus and college information, notices, and materials to students, faculty, and staff.
Coordinates meetings and logistical support; negotiate terms of food contracts; and locate and reserves spaces.
Take notes at meetings and follows-up on action items.
Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.
High school diploma or GED, including or supplemented by courses in word processing and office practices.
At least one (1) year of progressively responsible experience performing general office and secretarial duties involving customer service.
Physical capability to effectively use and operate various office related equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computers, calculators, printers, and copiers.
Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and perform repetitive finger motions, such as with typing, and to read from a computer monitor.
